Wisconsin Whitefish Spread

Ingredients:

  • 1lb whitefish, cooked and flaked
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon capers, drained
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 Degrees
  2. Place the seasoned fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through
  3. Allow fish to cool and flake with fork.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the whitefish, mayonnaise, celery, onion, dill, capers, and lemon juice.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Mix well until combined.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the whitefish spread on crackers or crusty toasted bread
